Shipping to the United States - Important Customs Information

At NAADA, we strive to make your shopping experience seamless, from the moment you browse our collection to when your order arrives at your door. Recently, there have been changes to U.S. import regulations that affect all international orders. Please read the following information carefully to fully understand the process.

New U.S. Customs Regulations

The United States government has removed the tax exemption for packages valued under $800 USD (known as the de minimis rule). This means that all orders shipped to U.S. addresses, regardless of their value, are now subject to customs inspection and the payment of corresponding import duties and taxes.

What does this mean for your order?

1. Customs Clearance Process: Your order will be handled by our express shipping carrier (such as DHL, FedEx, or UPS), who will act as your customs broker.

2. Payment of Fees: The shipping carrier will contact you directly (via email or SMS) to:

-Inform you of the applicable customs charges.

-Request payment for these duties and taxes.

3. Delivery: Once the payment is made, the customs authority will release your package, and final delivery will proceed.

Important note: This payment is mandatory and is the responsibility of the recipient in the United States. Unfortunately, NAADA has no control over these charges and cannot pay them on your behalf.

Our Transparency Commitment

We understand this change may be inconvenient. To ensure the smoothest experience possible, we are committed to:

-Providing all necessary documentation accurately (product description, declared value) to speed up customs clearance.

-Keeping you informed with your shipment tracking every step of the way.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Can I pay the taxes upfront?
Currently, taxes and duties must be paid directly by the recipient in the United States to the shipping carrier. We are working on implementing a solution that would allow us to include these costs at checkout (DDP - Delivery Duty Paid) to offer you a simpler experience in the future.

What happens if I refuse to pay the charges?
If the customs charges are not paid, the package will be held by customs authorities and eventually returned to us. In that case, our standard return policies will apply once we receive the package back.

Do the prices on the website include these taxes?
No. The prices shown on our website do not include potential U.S. import duties and taxes, as these are calculated and applied by the local customs authorities at the time of import.

How much will I have to pay in customs duties?

As an estimate, according to the information available on the US Customs official website, https://hts.usitc.gov/, duties for this type of goods will be around 16.5%. Courier companies may also charge an administrative fee for customs clearance.  This information does not constitute a commitment on the part of NAADA and is provided for informational purposes only.

I have more questions, who can I contact?
For any questions related to your shipment status or customs procedures, we recommend first contacting the shipping carrier directly, as they manage the process. For any other inquiries, our customer service team is here to help at webshop@naada.shop
